The city of West Des Moines is offering Skateboard Lessons at Legion Park again this Summer.

In the Beginner Class they will cover the foundations of skateboarding including, stance, balance, pushing, stopping, turning, carving, tic-tacs, kick turns, ollies, dropping in, and skatepark navigation.

The Intermediate/Advanced Class will focus on technical instruction in street and park skating including flip-tricks, grinds, board slides, airs, and foot plants, with attention paid to each skater’s personal goals.

This course will be led by Joey Rinaldi, a local skateboarder with years of experience in park and street skateboarding. Class will be held at Legion Park Skate Park and run every Saturday for four weeks.
