Streetstyle Open After-Parties

Wednesday, August 27: Up-Down Arcade Bar

Coming to town for the Des Moines Streetstyle Open? Join us for a fun night with over 60 classic arcade games, all just one token per play.

The party starts at 7:00pm but from 5 PM to 10 PM, Up-Down will donate 100% of token sales to support Skate DSM’s Get on Board Project which provides skateboards and helmets to Des Moines area kids.

Come out, have fun, and help make a difference for local skaters! Must be 21+ with a valid ID to enter.

Thursday, August 28: Ernie’s Boon Dock

Everything at Ernie’s Boondock is vintage. It has old-school, domestic beers such as Schmidt’s, Old Milwaukee and Old Style in cans for $3. You can pair one of those beers with a shot of Black Velvet whisky for $5. It also has Schlitz on tap. The vinyl jukebox, made in 1981, spins 1970s western and rock ‘n roll. And greasy, diner-style burgers and fries are served from a renovated 1972 Winnebago. The RV is parked outside on the patio.

Friday, August 29: Maggie’s Rumble Room

It wouldn’t be the Streetstyle Open without a stop at Maggie’s Rumble Room! Slinging classic drinks and unique, made-to-order pizzas with a retro vibe, the Rumble Room is one of Des Moines’ hippest watering holes. The walls are adorned with motorcycle and music memorabilia, and there is no shortage of neon signage. There’s even a vintage jukebox filled with classic songs, all spun on 45 RPM vinyl.
